Burger with caramelized onions
Components
[For the burgers]
600 gr. ground beef, preferably not lean
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves fresh garlic, melted
2 tbsp mixed herbs
1 egg
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh tomato
Butter lettuce
Cucumbers
4 fresh rolls
[Quick Caramelized Onions]
2 onions, thinly sliced
30 gr. butter
2 tbsp Brown sugar
2 tbsp vinegar
[Burger Sauce]
1 cup of your favorite bbq sauce
1 tbsp Brown sugar
1 tbsp vinegar
2 T Worcester sauce
2 t Tabasco
Instructions
- Prepare and light your COBB with 1 CobbleStone.
- Place the frying pan and dome cover in the COBB cooker and let it heat for at least 5 minutes.
- Please note that the COBB Supreme does not have a frying pan, use the Supreme pan.
[Burgers]
- Combine all the burger ingredients to form a flavorful burger patty.
- Divide into 4 equal portions (or 6 for smaller burgers) and shape into burgers to your liking.
- Mix all the basting sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
[Onions]
- Melt the butter and fry the onions with the dome cover open for about 5 minutes until they become transparent.
- Add the sugar and vinegar and simmer to reduce for another 10 - 15 minutes.
- Remove the pan and replace it with the grill attachment.
- Replace the dome cover and allow 5 minutes for the grill to heat up.
- Oil the grill and place the burger patties.
- Flip the burgers and pour the sauce over them - cook about 5 minutes on each side for medium.
- Remove from the grill when cooked and brush the other side.
- Serve your burger just the way you like it!
