HISTORY

The COBB story

Born in the southern tip of Africa 20 years ago, the award-winning COBB was created as a safer and more economical way of cooking for the people of rural South Africa. The aim was to minimize fire risks.

The first fuel for COBB was a dried corn, and thus the versatile cooker got its name. From these humble roots, he has become a global superstar. Time and trends have evolved a multitude of outdoor cooking methods, and at the top of that innovation curve is the COBB kitchen. A highlight of its short life was being named one of the best inventions of the year by Time magazine in 2001.

COBB and its range of brilliant accessories can cook anything, anywhere - whether it's a simple burger or a more substantial dish. Its unique design allows grease to drain away from the food being cooked and into the trench for healthier cooking. As the fat does not fall onto the coals, the COBB cooking system is practically smokeless and can be used in small, well-ventilated areas, such as balconies or boats, without causing a smoky environment.

In addition, the COBB can be easily disassembled and placed in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. This highly portable grill weighs only 4kg, is 30cm high and 30cm in diameter.

While burning hot on the inside, the base remains cool to the touch on the outside and can be lifted and moved during cooking. The COBB is very fuel efficient and an environmentally greener choice as it only uses 8-10 briquettes, one CobbleStone or 300g of charcoal for up to two hours of cooking.

You will embark on a journey of a lifetime - a journey of delicious meals, taste experiences and culinary adventures.
